On this fifth quality House Music release, Need2Soul solicits the highly talented skills of Chicago's Very Own Glenn Underground. With decades of experience and a slew of releases under his belt i.e. Cajual, Shelter, Peacefrog, Guidance, Vega, Large, Kenlou, Gotsoul, etc, one could only predict nothing less than excellence from this Windy City veteran. As expected, GU delivers quality in every sense of the word. This three-track instrumental project features the slick, cutting-edge grooves of "Jive Assing" as well as a gorgeous musical painting in the form of "Manzana De Mi Vida". Showcasing Mr. Crockers signature sound & styling's, "Jive Assing" (Main Mix) is a flawless dancefloor groove, and is essentially a musical journey into the moody mind of CVO. Surely to send dancefloor pundits into a frenzy, the Dub version boasts a slightly tweaked sonic experience, with thicker percussive layers, a tougher kick and one bad-ass bassline as only GU can deliver. The lush "Manzana De Mi Vida" is a fine lesson in avant-garde Dance Music, featuring some fine work (as usual) on keyboards, creating a melodious & profound atmosphere that will set your soul (and soles) on fire! Body-shaking, moody, deep, life-affirming, and tasteful are just a few terms that come to mind when summing up this fifth release on Need2Soul.
